AJC: Odds on Oscar's best pic are even

79TH ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS: No front-runner for best picture | ajc.com: "The Oscars are usually about the clear favorite, the classic showdown ('Saving Private Ryan' vs. 'Shakespeare in Love') or the expected third-place best picture nominee that leaps to the front ('Chariots of Fire').

Not this year.

The feeling among many, including some Oscar voters, is that this year's top award is a close, five-picture race....."
